Men of Courage

Home  /  Campaigns  /  Current Page

It takes courage for men to stand up against domestic violence.  That’s why we joined Harbor House of Central Florida in an initiative called Men of Courage.  Our goal is to publicly recognize and honor men in Central Florida who commit to nonviolence in our families and communities.

In Central Florida, Harbor House works to eliminate family violence and the cost it has on lives as well as the millions of dollars it costs our community each year in 911 calls, homicide investigations, public defense, medical care, and lost productivity in the workplace.  The Men of Courage initiative honors those men in our lives who are standing up for our families and the community.

On the weekend of Father’s Day, a full page ad will appear in the Orlando Business Journal, OBJ, with a list of every man who joins our stand as Men of Courage. These men can join themselves or be honored by their wives, children, co-workers or companies.

We are asking 1,000 people to join us this year by making a tax deductible contribution to Harbor House of Central Florida.

Edmund Burke said it best, “All that is required for evil to  triumph is for good men to do nothing.”  Let the men of Central Florida stand up today to change tomorrow.

If you would like to join our group or honor a man in your life who is making a difference, please click on the buttons below.
