China Delegation Visits Harbor House
Harbor House of Central Florida hosted visitors from the People's Republic of China. These rising leaders from China have been tasked with generating reform in their respective provinces. Zheng Ping (Zen Pin), Vice President of the Women's Federation of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region stated that there are 90 million women in her province that will benefit from the first Domestic Violence Law passed in China. The goal of the visit was to see the shelter and learn about the effects of financial and social programs for rural areas.
Harbor House will continue the relationship as an advisor to the delegation as they develop their own shelters in China.
Visitors were invited by the Department of States International Visitors Leadership Program and arranged by the Academy for Educational Development.
