Agency
- 5,296 safety plans were completed with clients, including 3,172 during face to face conversations and 2,124 over the phone
- 11,197 hours of counseling were provided to survivors in shelter and outreach programs
- 4,298 hotline calls were received for one call for every 2 hours, 365 days a year
- 18,959 referrals were given to survivors in shelter, courthouse and outreach programs
Shelter Services
- 712 women and children stayed in the shelter for a total of 26,049 nights
- Average length of stay in shelter is 29 days (women with children 35 days, women without children 24 days)
- 79% of the individuals in shelter were ethnically/racially diverse
- 16% of the women have previously been in shelter
- 43% of shelter residents were children and 52% were under the age of 4
- The shelters operated at or above capacity during 5 months (27 nights) and accommodations were provided to 43 women and children when over capacity
Children/Youth Services
- Childcare has operated for 250 days for 12 hrs a day (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and provided over 20,500 contact hours of service
- The Coaching Boys Into MenSM program served over 180 boys at four City of Orlando Parks/Recreation sites
- Over 65 “Teens Ending Abusive Relationships” presentations were held throughout Orange County with over 1,900 middle and high school participants
Outreach
- Outreach served 692 women and men and provided over 8,100 hours of advocacy, safety planning and support group services
- 86% women and 14% men
- 67% of the individuals served in outreach were ethnically/racially divers
Court Services
- The program served 3,585 individuals requesting injunctions and court services and provided over 4,500 hours of advocacy, safety planning and court accompaniment
- Over 3,900 domestic/dating/sexual violence injunctions were filed during the year
- 75% granted; 17% denied and 8% order setting hearing
- The Intimate Partner Violence Enhanced Services Team (INVESTeam) program staff (2) provided over 2,562 hours of advocacy, safety planning and support services to 196 high lethality clients. 20% of the clients referred from community partners including law enforcement and community based organizations accept Harbor House services
Community Education
- 3,400 individuals attended Harbor House trainings and presentations
- Received media coverage for over 77 events, activities or projects
