Find out how you can get involved with Harbor House and support a survivor of domestic abuse.
During the holiday season, Harbor House works to ensure a festive atmosphere for the families living in our Emergency Shelter. Therefore, we have pondered how best to help survivors take important steps toward hope and healing during this holiday season. Here are a few ways you can help Harbor House make sure the children and their parents experience a sense of belonging, hope, and empowerment for the New Year:
Because of the generosity of donors like you, all of our families have currently been adopted. But do not worry; you can still give to our Harbor House families this holiday season! See below to find our other Gifts of Hope Programs!
Help the children staying at Harbor House surprise their moms with a gift this year. Children living in our shelter will have an opportunity to select gifts as they shop in the Holiday gift shop for Mom. Purchase lady’s pajamas (any size) or items from Bath & Body Works, or TJ Maxx. By donating a gift, you can give our children the joy of shopping for that special item for mom. Call our Donation Coordinator at 407-703-2890 or email email@example.com for an appointment to deliver the gift.
Fill a laundry basket with nonperishable items to prepare a holiday meal, such as: stuffing, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, canned potatoes, pie filings, bread mixes, turkey and a gift card so survivors can purchase items that may be unique to their holiday tradition. Call our Donation Coordinator at 407-703-2890 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an appointment to deliver your meal basket.
Give a happy holiday to our youngest residents this year by donating the following:
