Purple Door Luncheon | October 5, 2023 | 11:00am

Harbor House opened in 1976 as an unassuming home with a very special door. A single knock could save a life because when the door opened, someone seeking a safe haven found it. Since then we’ve opened our door countless times to women, children, men, and pets who needed shelter. Each time our door opens, we’re offering a fresh start to a life free of abuse and fear. Today, Harbor House remains Orange County’s only 24/7 state certified domestic violence center that provides free services in the time of greatest need.

The Purple Door Luncheon is Harbor House of Central Florida’s signature event. Each October hundreds of supporters gather during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to bring attention to this critical issue, honor advocates, celebrate survivors, and remember those who lost their lives because of abuse. Every year we honor six organizations or people who are committed to ending domestic violence in our community with our Champions of Courage awards. This year we will honor more individuals or groups. Your support demonstrates that you are an advocate for ending domestic abuse in our community.

Harbor House’s Signature Purple Door Luncheon includes a special awards presentation for champions working to end violence in our community and on a national level. We will recognize champions in the following categories:

Monies raised support our mission to stop the cycle of domestic violence by ensuring that every family member has the resources they need both in shelter and beyond.

Check in and registration open at 11am with the luncheon and program beginning at 12pm.

General Admission tickets are $95 per person or host a table of 8 for $750.
