Chief Financial Officer
Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to be responsible for all financial matters and will report to and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer. S/he will partner with the senior leadership and the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategies across the organization. Oversee all compliance and recognition for government (federal and state) contracts and private grants.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably in a nonprofit organization; significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required.
Harbor House is seeking a qualified individual to provide for the general care and maintenance of the Harbor House kennel and in-kind donation center. Assists donors in delivery of in-kind donations and maintains inventory system. Maintains and operates the kennel and in-kind donation center in a sanitary and efficient manner as well as ensuring that all necessary services for humane feeding, watering, and caring for animals on the campus are completed.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or vocational training . This position requires a
current, valid Florida drivers’ license,
a safe driving record and a reliable vehicle, the ability to lift 65 lbs frequently, and the ability to restrain active dogs weighing up to 110 lb.
Previous warehouse, logistics, stock, receiving, inventory experience preferred. 1-2 years of kennel maintenance, animal health, nutrition, and humane care experience preferred.
Court Services Program Assistant

Harbor House is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to perform a variety of administrative duties that include clerical and data management tasks to support its Court Services program. Duties will also include coordinating services provided by the Court Services program for individuals who seek injunctions for protection.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience as an Executive or Legal Assistant is required.This position requires knowledge of injunctions, safety planning, and court procedures; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, court personnel, volunteers, and the general public; and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required. Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both English and Spanish is preferred. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
